Our 10th Wedding Anniversary Vow Renewal | The Plaza & Central Park, NY

Roody and I celebrated 10 years of marriage by having an intimate vow renewal ceremony in Central Park. Believe it or not, this “little” vow renewal cost almost as much as our 320-guest wedding did haha #WorthIt

There was nothing “formal” about the renewal. We just wanted to take some bomb photos and create a bomb video. You know I’m extra. I love a reason to get all glammed up.

But I cried in the nail salon as I wrote my vows. Saying “I do" 10 years ago was the start of what has been the best years of my life. Roody & I are practically inseparable at this point. We have done everything together and we almost don’t know how to function without each other. I’m so grateful for all the lessons he and this marriage has taught me. I’m so happy that he still gets excited when he sees me after a long day. He still grabs my booty. He still gives me kisses. He still loves me takes care of me.

10 years of marriage has taught me to be more gentle. To be more patient and understanding. It has taught me how to love unconditionally, and how to sort though my emotions. To think before I speak and to be more considerate of someone else’s feelings. It’s been the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. And if I were given the chance to do it all over again, I totally would.

It was very important for me to have all our my family present at our renewal, but Larique had just started a new job and she couldn’t ask for the day off. But on the bright side, I’m really happy I have updated photos of both of our parents and that we have some fancy photos with the boys. I’m actually currently saving up for our 25th Anniversary Vow Renewal. The budget is $100k, so yeah. I need some time to come up with that kind of money haha.

Hiring Kesha and Kevin—oh wow, I didn’t even realize their names were so similar haha. Anyway, hiring those two AMAZING artists was the best decision ever. Kesha worked her magic in absolute silence. She shoots with a Sony, and I didn’t even realize she was shooting while talking to me during prep. My jaw dropped when I got the sneak peeks from her the next day. When in the world and how in the world did she capture us like that??

And don’t even get me started on Kevin. My mans… he’s one of those silent killers, too. He did a same-day edit that blew me away. He went all out by coming to our Studio’s grand opening party and then doing a Sunrise Shoot a few days before our Renewal. Above and beyond, I tell you. But the little movie he made for us makes me so proud. I love everything about it, and I hope he’s able to film for us again in 15 years :)

Cheers to 100 more years of loving my HoneyBunz, Mr. Roody Tide. I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.
