Lilly Singh is taking a Break From YouTube!

I wanted to sit down, relax and catch up on my Youtube subscriptions. I was VERY surprised when I saw Lilly’s face pop up with a video entitled “I’ll see you soon…” I immediately knew what that meant.

I’ve been #TeamSuper for a couple years now. I’ve bought every Girl Love bracelet, I bought her booked, I watched her movie, I went to her book show, I took a photo with her, I sent her a VER LARGE crocheted pillow for her birthday…

But ever since I met her that day, I’ve been feeling a disconnect. Something just wasn’t right anymore. I thought it was just me getting over my obsession with her, but I started to realize that it was her. Not me.

I still love Lilly. Don’t get me wrong. But she has been complaining about Youtube views and thinking she’s irrelevant since last year, and I just wish she would be content with the content she’s been making. I also noticed she’s been very click-bait-y and has been trying to make vlogs about what is trendy, even though she had always said that she never cared about what was on trend.

Too many contradictions.

So I knew this day would come—the day Lilly decided to face the music and stop worrying about her Youtube career. I’m so happy she’s taking some time to better her mental health, and I can’t wait to see what she comes back with!
